A working meeting was held at the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation of subjects of the wholesale electricity market, representatives of NCE Atameken, Kazakhstan Electric Power Association, ALE "Alliance Energoservice", ALE "Kazakhstan Association of Energy Supply Organizations", the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Committee for Regulation natural monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the functioning of the Single off-taker and the Balancing Electricity Market.

Also, the participants considered the proposals of the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan, raised issues of targeted support for energy sales companies serving the population and issues of payment for imbalances for deviations from the planned schedule of electricity consumption in the balancing market.

The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan informed market participants about the development of all proposals together with interested parties and the development of consolidated solutions.
