Renewable energy school launched to empower energy professionals in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan unveiled the establishment of the School of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) under the auspices of the Qazaq Green RES Association. This significant development was announced during the prestigious Qazaq Green Fest, an International Green Energy Business Festival held in Borovoe.

Recognizing the need for new skills and competencies in the evolving energy landscape of Kazakhstan, the organizers of the festival emphasized the importance of launching the RES School. The school will offer specialized training facilitated by industry experts and practitioners.

"The curriculum has been designed with flexibility in mind, catering to the diverse needs of the participants. Whether newcomers to the renewable energy field or seasoned professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge, the course can be tailored accordingly," stated the Association.

According to the 2022 survey conducted by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the International Labour Organization (ILO), employment opportunities in the renewable energy sector have surged by 700,000, reaching a total of 4.3 million jobs worldwide. Solar energy boasts the largest share of employment, accounting for approximately one-third of the overall figure. China leads the pack with 42 percent of the jobs, followed by the European Union and Brazil at 10 percent each, while the United States and India each account for 7 percent.

The establishment of the RES School aims to equip energy professionals in Kazakhstan with the necessary knowledge and skills to thrive in the renewable energy sector, contributing to the country's sustainable energy transition and the advancement of green technologies.
